In the boardroom, Olympus may be dealing with an accounting fraud that has put prim-and-proper corporate Japan to shame, but elsewhere, shutterbugs are buzzing about the company’s new micro-four-thirds. What caught my attention is its name: OM-D. That alone is enticing enough, especially when some of us do have a weakness for the other OMD: Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark!
Well, I am not sure how well this camera will manoeuvre in the dark, but for now, the specs are not bad: 16 megapixels; ISO 200 to 25,600; 4 fps or 9 fps; and a tilt-able 3-inch OLED touch-screen display. Oh, the camera looks big here, but that’s because of the optional battery grip.
Sony’s NEX 7 will get to meet a worthy opponent!
