Levi’s jeans are not usually very expensive but when you add Junya Watanabe’s touch to it, the price can be staggeringly high. How about 28,000 baht? This is what you would have to fork out for this pair with a different treatment on the front than on the back. As if the bi-shade effect is not enough (for the price, it isn’t!), the front-side legs are actually pajama-stripe cotton photo-printed to look like distressed 5-pocket jean. The print takes on the role of texture! When you fold the leg up, the underside gives you a contrast-fabric cuff that makes the jean look lined when, in fact, it is not! That’s design for you. And as the jeans come in limited quantities, they’re even more appealing. So, either you lose your head or you buy a pair at a Levi’s store and a pajama pants at M&S, and go to a good tailor and then your high-res photo printer.
