So what does Karl Lagerfeld have to say now?
In October last year, Chanel’s main man reportedly told the website of Focus magazine that “no one wants to see curvy women”. He went on to say, “You’ve got fat mothers with their bags of chips sitting in front of the television and saying that thin models are ugly”.
In less than three months following that quotable quip, Mr Lagerfeld has photographed the hefty burlesque darling Miss Dirty Martini in Chanel for the much talked about V Mag‘s “size issue”.
I am not sure how the pictures will enhance Chanel’s position as a desirable luxury brand, put I have this feeling that camellias-as-pasties isn’t going to score well with Japanese women who buy the iconic flowers as hair clips.
