Dakota Fanning and Yarinas
I don’t know for sure if this is life immitating art or art immitating life, but I can clearly see that women (and their on-canvas sisters) have a weakness for lace.
Dakota Fanning, now appearing in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, wore this Valentino dress to the LA premier of the movie. The choice of designer is surprising since most women as young as her tend to avoid brands associated with their mothers. Still, Ms Fanning looks pretty and her age.
The Carmen-esque beauty Yarinas, a creation of the twentysomething artist Somnuek (Parn) Klangnok, looks just as swell in her version of the little black lace dress.
When life mirrors art, are we still expressing our individuality? And when art mirrors life, does it mean there’s no more affirmation of a personal stance?
